YES Program Return Dates 2012 Announced
From AFSWiki
Many of you have inquired as to the return dates for the YES participants. Attached is a chart that details the departure date by country. Please note that all YES students will have a reentry orientation in Washington DC prior to returning to their home countries.
The Inbound SP team for AFS-USA is organizing the reentry orientation for YES students from AFS-recruiting countries (EGY, GHA, IND, INA, KEN, MAS, MOZ, PHI, KDS, RSA, THA, TUR) from June 26 - June 29. You should plan on including these students in your local EOS as they will travel to their gateway Departure Day city with the CORE and CB students. They will then fly or bus to Washington, DC on 26 JUN.
American Councils is organizing two orientations for the other YES partners. Students from Albania, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Kosovo, Kuwait, Liberia, Macedonia, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Suriname, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Yemen will travel to Washington, DC on June 11, 2012, and depart for their home countries on June 13. Students from Bangladesh, Gaza, Israel (Arab Communities), Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, and West Bank will travel to Washington, DC on June 21, 2012, and depart for their home countries on June 23.
As with the arrival travel, AFS is booking the travel for AFS-recruited participants and American Councils is booking the travel for all other partners. As with NH11 arrivals, international and domestic travel arrangements will be entered into Global LInk and viewable to volunteers. Additional information regarding returns will be sent in 2012.
