USIA Guidelines

"USIA" stands for the "United States Information Agency," which was a sub-unit of the U.S. Department of State which no longer exists.

The USIA had responsibility for regulating exchange programs and it promulgated federal regulations (found today in the Code of Federal Regulations at 22 CFR 62) that exchange programs today are still required to follow.
