Congratulations to Heartland Kansas AT-2010 Tribute Award Winner!
Please join the Volunteer Recognition Committee (VRC) in congratulating the Heartland Kansas team for their outstanding service to AFS through their work with schools! Heartland Kansas Team volunteers initiated, worked with, and supported 16 new schools that resulted in 16 hosted students and 1 sending student in 2010. In honor of this award, the team will receive $250.
Their reference wrote, “They have overcome many challenges, including difficult schools…by finding new schools to also host students in. They are a team that inspires others … They add humor to any situation as well as their longtime AFS experience to navigate difficult situations. They are constantly looking to the future and how AFS can have even more of a presence in Heartland Kansas. I believe they are the most deserving team of this award and have worked hard to get where they are today!”
