From AFSWiki
This page is a reference library for Templates found on this wiki. There are three document types referred to as templates:
Examples
- The first template type is an active template. This type is currently being used in an article or category.
- This type of template should be used freely in your documents to simplify editing.
- Edits or changes to an Active Template should be made with caution since those changes will affect every use of the template in other documents.
- Copies of the Active Templates can be found in the box below called “Template Library - Active”. Click on the title in the left column to go directly to the template page.
- The second template type is a generic template. This type is an example or starter temple to help you create your own new template.
- The generic template should not be used in your document since as it may be changed it too will change the meaning of your document.
- Copy the information from the template in edit mode and create a new template according to the instructions found in the Template description.
- Links and examples of generic templates can be found in the box below under the title “Template Library - Generic” Click on the title in the left column to go directly to the template page.
- The third document on this wiki called templates will be full text documents, MS Word files or Adobe Acrobat files. These files are not templates in the Wiki markup sense but are “good examples or best practices for a particular event or procedure.

| Word or Acrobat
|
This form is provided for you in two formats, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- To view the Word form you will either need a registered version of Word or the MS Word Viewer. A link to acquire the free Word Viewer can be found on our Tool page.
- If you have a registered version of Microsoft Word you will be able to fill the form from your computer and save a backup copy for each use.
- If you don’t have a registered version of Word you will be able to view the form and print it only but will not be able to fill the form. Since the Word form is a representation of the actual printed form it will be better for you to work with the Acrobat ( pdf ) version of this form since it is a scanned version of the original document. See the notes here about using Acrobat forms.
- To view the Acrobat ( pdf ) version of this form you will need to have a registered version of Acrobat or the Adobe Acrobat Viewer. A link to acquire the free Adobe Acrobat Viewer can be found on our Tool page.
- If you have a registered version of Acrobat you will be able to fill the form from your computer and save a backup copy for each use. When saving do a ‘Save As” so as to keep a empty copy of the original form for the next use. This is a good system of keeping archive copies of the work you do and giving you the ability to make minor modifications without having to fill the entire form from scratch.
- If you don’t have a registered version of Acrobat and are using the Viewer you will be able to View, Print, and Fill the form but you will not be able to save a copy of the filled form. You may choose to fill the form and print it on completion or you can simply print a copy of the form and fill it in by hand. This will be the prefered option if you have neither the registered version of Acrobat or Word.

List of All Templates
The following list is updated manually so a new template may be missing. The automatic comprehensive list is found by searching the namespace but that may be difficult to find for some.
