Program Description
Corporate Telekom Summer Program
AFS Germany launched the Deutsche Telekom International Youth Exchange Program in 2011 and subsidiary T-Mobile participated that year. The program continues in 2012 with USA subsidiary T-Systems based in Scottsdale, AZ, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI.
Program Dates:
- Inbound AFS USA to AFS GER: June 21 to August 4, 2012
- GER Outbound to AFS USA: July 1 to August 12
Background:
Telekom wishes to strengthen it’s international network and to give employees and their families the opportunity to participate in and benefit from a unique intercultural immersion experience. They are therefore, offering to sponsor a summer program for employee’s high school aged teens.
Telekom has chosen AFS as the service provider because of our broad network and many years of experience, combined with our reputation for high quality standards and solid risk management. This program is a 6 week exchange of employee’s teens from their “home destinations” to targeted international destinations. Target destinations will have both an AFS Volunteer organization and viable Telekom offices.
