Sending Interview Coordinator Job Description
Responsible to:
Time required:
- Average of 30-60 minutes per student
- Length of service time: 2 years
Competencies Required:
- Well organized
- Effective at task delegation
- Comfortable working with email and AFS database
- Excellent relationship and team-building skills
- Recognizing others (ex: interviewers)
- Keeps commitments
- Passion for the AFS Mission
- Communicates effectively and distributes information
Training:
- Familiar with Online Sending Interview Training
- Participation at national conferences/trainings
- Ongoing support from National Sending Staff
Works with:
- Volunteers
- Team Leadership
- Chapter/local unit Sending Interviewers
- National Sending Staff
Responsibilities:
- Familiarize yourself with the content of the Sending Interviews wiki page
- Ensure that new Sending Interviewers complete the Online Sending Interviewer Training
- Facilitate an opportunity for new interviewers to attend an interview with an experienced Sending Interviewer
- Act as a liaison between chapter/local volunteers, participants, and National Sending Staff
- Give an update regarding interviews to the Sending Coordinator, who will share the information at Team meetings
- Phone/email contact with local volunteers to confirm that they completed and emailed the Sending Interview Form to sendinginterviews@afs.org
