Sending Advisory Group Seeks Volunteers
From AFSWiki
Volunteers Needed for the Sending Advisory Group "extraordinaire" (SAGe)
Given the changes in the sending department in 2010-2011 the SAGe went into hiatus as of March 2011, with the understanding that this advisory group would be revitalized in 2012. We are now in the process of revitalizing the Sending Advisory Group and seek volunteer participation. The focus of the SAGe in 2012-2013 will be in the following areas:
- Identifying and developing strategies to recruit and engage new volunteers to support sending activities locally
- Identifying training needs and resources for sending volunteers
- Advise and provide feedback on sending recruitment strategies, new sending program opportunities, sending processes and scholarships as needed
This is a 1 year commitment and will require you to be able to participate in monthly meetings and in some cases depending on the need work in sub-committees for the Advisory Group focusing on specific issues related to our sending programs.
