Response Letter to the Department of State

On September 2, the US Department of State published an Advanced Notice of Public Rule Making requesting feedback from the exchange industry on many issues surrounding student safety. AFS asked our volunteer community to provide us with their opinions and thoughts on many of the issues of concern through a survey. Over 500 volunteers responded with great ideas and opinions on how to keep students safe. A big thanks goes out to all the volunteers who took the time to complete the survey. Our final response letter was sent to the Department of State on October 1 with the input provided by our volunteer community. Please find it attached here for your review.
