Log into your phone

This is the log-in procedure for phones of the Info Center Staff.
Policy
Info Center Staff members are to log in their phones at the start of their shift, log out for lunch, log back in after lunch, and log out at the end of the day. You must be logged in to transfer calls.
Procedures
- 1. Press ACD Login / Logout
- 2. To log into your phone press 2 and the last 3 digits of your extension. Example: If your extension is 1501, to log into your phone you would press 2501.
- 3. Press cancel after logging in.
- 4. Go on make busy by pressing “Make Busy” if you are not assigned to take inbound calls.
- 5. To log out of your phone, press ACD Login / Log out, you do not have to enter your code again to log out.
- 6. Press cancel.
- 7. When you are away from your desk, on break or at a meeting, please be sure that your phone is on “Make Busy” so that the calls go to the general voicemail box.
Protocol
To be able to transfer and receive calls, all on duty Info Center Staff must be logged into their phones.
