About Liaison Training
Liaison Training must be completed annually for all liaisons through NH11. Volunteers who have been trained in the HSA and DOS courses are allowed to enter monthly contacts. Those who have not yet completed the HSA and DOS trainings will still have access to Global Link (access to Global Link is based on registration status), but will not have access to enter monthly contacts.
Online Training
Registered volunteers must take the HSA, DOS, and Liaison training before they can be linked to a placement as Liaison. When a Liaison is officially linked to a student and host family they will receive an email confirming their status with identifying characteristics of the placement and a link to the liaison handbook(the online training takes less than one hour to complete). Completion of training is reflected in Global Link in the Activity Tab of the person record.
In-Person Training
In-person Liaison training must be documented (as in previous years) via sign in sheets, and reported to the Regional Service Center. Staff will then manually update the electronic record of each Liaison who attended training. Even if that Liaison takes the in-person training they will not be able to enter monthly contacts until they have completed the online trainings.
NOTE: It will take a minimum of between 1-2 hours after completion of online training, before the Global Link is updated to reflect the change, and allow access to submit a contact report. You can access the liaison training via the resources tab in Global link or by clicking here.

Liaison Training Status Tracking
One method for tracking the training status of the liaisons in your area is to use Global Link, and Search "Activities".
