June 2010 Everyone Ready Topic: Effective Delegation Skills

As of June 22, the latest Everyone Ready® online volunteer management training topic is available. As was announced in March 2010, all AFS-USA volunteers and staff can access the monthly Everyone Ready® topics online, via Global Link.

This month's Everyone Ready® topic is entitled, "Effective Delegation Skills" and is available through July 17. After July 17, the seminar will be available in the "archived topics" of the Everyone Ready® site until mid-August.

By reading this Guide and discussing its content, participants will be able to:

• Get over the common misconceptions and barriers to delegating
• Invest time in the beginning to delegate proactively and reap more time and other benefits in the long run
• Identify the most appropriate tasks to delegate (not just the ones you don’t like!) to truly save time
• Delegate “sideways” and “upwards” with grace
