July 2011 Everyone Ready Volunteer Management Topic now online: Welcoming Diversity in Volunteer Participation

Ensure that volunteers of all types and from all cultures are invited and welcomed into your organization.The latest Everyone Ready® online volunteer management training topic, Welcoming Diversity in Volunteer Participation became available on Monday, July 18. All AFS-USA volunteers and staff can access the monthly Everyone Ready® topics online, via the "Resources" tab in Global Link.
Learning Objectives
After completing this seminar and discussing its content, participants will be able to:
- Explain principles of diversity and inclusion, and how these are integral to all management.
- Turn their awareness about diversity into action that demonstrates commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- See diversity as an opportunity.
- Deal effectively with situations that arise from differences.
This topic will be the main Everyone Ready topic through Sunday, August 13. On August 14, the new topic, "OUR Volunteer Program: The Management Team Approach to Enhancing Volunteer Programs" will launch. At that time, the "Welcoming Diversity in Volunteer Participation" topic will be moved to the Archived Topics section of the "Everyone Ready" main page.
