Information Event
From AFSWiki
Having an AFS Information Event (aka Info Night) is a great way to generate new sending or host family leads and connect your local students who have already expressed interest in studying abroad or hosting and their families with AFS. These events are open to the public and are usually held on a weekday evening in a public place such as a library, bookstore, community room or high school. This is an excellent time to explain the benefits of studying abroad with AFS-USA or hosting an AFS exchange student to parents, give returnees a chance to share their stories, and introduce the community to the international AFS students who are currently being hosted!
To ensure that the logistics of your event run smoothly, we’ve outlined the info event basics, a detailed itinerary and a logistics checklist for you to follow.
