Host Family Recruiting Webinars
From AFSWiki
Would you be interested in learning more about host family recruitment ideas and best practices from experienced Hosting Volunteers from all across the country? If so, the Hosting Volunteer Recruiter Webinar is for you!
These conference call trainings, with an optional online webinar feature which allows you to share the computer screen of the presenter, are an opportunity for both new and experienced volunteers to learn about available resources and brainstorm ideas for creative host family recruitment strategies.
The first session, Getting started: "I've just received my hosting recruitment tool kit - now what?", will explore creative options for using your Host Family Recruitment Tool Kit, discuss the idea of social mapping, and familiarize you with available recruitment resources.
The second session, Who's interested in hosting? How to find and market to new audiences, will look at our traditional audiences and brainstorm ideas about new internal & external groups of people who are likely to be receptive to the idea of hosting. We'll offer practical tips on how to start your outreach to such audiences as language schools, sports clubs, places of worship, community based organizations, etc.
