Host Family Orientation Materials Request
From AFSWiki
This page is for those who wish to request Host Family Orientation Materials
In order to cut costs and streamline the work flow of both volunteers and staff during our peak summer days, we are requesting that Teams/Chapters provide their Regional Travel and Logistics Coordinator (see contact information below) with the name and mailing address of their local volunteer Host Family Orientation Coordinator/s by May 15. If a Team/Chapter is unable to identify their Coordinator/s by this time, we ask that they please provide by this date the name and mailing address of a volunteer who will forward the materials to the Hosting Coordinator once s/he is identified.
Each order will contain:
- One Host Family Pre-Arrival Orientation Leader's Guide- unless otherwise specified
- Up to five Host Family Handbooks
Sign-In Sheets and Evaluations may be downloaded via the links below:
- Host Family Pre-Arrival Orientation Sign-In Sheet
- Host Family Pre-Arrival Orientation Participant Evaluation (under development)
- Host Family Pre-Arrival Orientation Volunteer Evaluation (under development)
If we do not receive this information by the May 15 deadline, Area Teams/Chapters will be asked to access the Host Family Pre-Arrival Orientation Leader's Guide, Sign-In Sheets, and Participant and Volunteer Evaluations via the AFS Wiki (see above).
This cycle all materials will be sent by a surface (not overnight or 2-day) delivery method, so please plan ahead! In addition, feel free to use the 2008 version of the Host Family Pre-Arrival Orientation Leader’s guide as there have been no changes to it since last year.
Thank you in advance for helping AFS cut costs, streamline our processes, and orient our host families!
