Host family application is an AFS term describing what the host family provides to AFS so that we may get to know them. The application includes instructions on how to complete the application, U.S. Department of State Regulation - Exchange Visitor Program (information for the host family to read), and:

The preferred method of submitting a host family application is online. Host families should contact their local volunteer or Regional Service Center (1-800-876-2377) to receive an email with a link to the website, login information, and a password to begin the online application process. The Host Family Application is no longer available for downloading from the AFS USA website.
