Global Link for Hosting Volunteers Webinar

Dear AFS USA Hosting Volunteers,

Many of you have taken part in the Hosted Student Application Distribution Webinars that have been offered over the last month and a half. We hope that you have found these to be helpful, and are becoming more comfortable navigating on Global Link!

We are excited to announce that a second round Global Link Webinars for Hosting Volunteers will be launched next week, and the focus of these will be on Host Family Leads and Applications. Topics covered during these trainings will include:

• Accessing and following up on host family leads
• Searching for and monitoring host family applications
• Completing and submitting volunteer and school forms
• Understanding placement regulations

You can view a list of scheduled Host Family Leads and Applications Webinars and register to attend one on the AFS Wiki at: Global Link webinars. Prior to attending a training, we ask that you review the process checklists and Global Link resource materials posted on the Wiki at: GL Help Hosting.

In addition, the Hosted Student Application Distribution Webinars will continue to be offered on a weekly basis, and a schedule of these is also available on the AFS Wiki.
