Global Link

Global Link is an information database tool designed and built by AFS International, now in use by almost all AFS Partners. Designed to include a website interface, the site makes accessible participant and host family applications, program references, volunteer records, and other functionality needed in day to day AFS operations.

With the intent to replace legacy systems, OPUS and AFS Online, the AFS-USA IT Department began working with the International technology team in 2006 to implement a USA version of Global Link. As of 6 Jan 2010, the implementation has "gone live" for both staff and volunteers. All registered volunteers should now have received an email containing a unique Global Link User ID and Password.
