Global Link

Global Link is an information database tool designed and built by AFS International, now in use by almost all AFS Partners. Designed to include a website interface, the site makes accessible participant and host family applications, program references, volunteer records, and other functionality needed in day to day AFS operations.

Intended as a replacement for legacy systems, OPUS and AFS Online, the AFS-USA IT Department began working with the International technology team in 2006 to implement a USA version of Global Link. As of 6 Jan 2010, the implementation has "gone live" for both staff and volunteers. All registered volunteers should now have received an email containing a unique Global Link User ID and Password.
