Fall 2010 Participant Survey Letter
From AFSWiki
Dear AFS Volunteers,
Thank you for your continued efforts to ensure that our students are staying safe and enjoying their AFS experience. The AFS-USA Quality Assurance and Compliance Department is reaching out in new ways to you, to host families, and to students in an effort to improve the quality of our programs. The recent site visits are one way that we are hoping to work more closely with you to gain an “on the ground” perspective. Now it’s time for the first of a bi-annual student survey to be sent out this week.
The surveys will collect student perspectives about their local support, school life, host family environment and their overall satisfaction with the program thus far. As most of you know, AFS is required to send CSE’s (Customer Service Evaluations) to all participants, host families and schools upon completion of the program. This survey, though, will be used to measure participant satisfaction during the year to assess any immediate concerns, and to hopefully improve program quality in real time. The survey data will be shared with the Team/Chapter chairs once it is compiled and your respective Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator will contact you to discuss any questions or concerns that were raised from the surveys. These surveys will not replace the CSE’s that are sent out at the end of the program.
Please encourage the participants to complete these surveys by November 19 so we can continually support everyone throughout the program. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Quality and Compliance Coordinator for your team:

(Please note that the survey is a .pdf version of what is online. Some questions are based on "skip logic" and may seem out of place on this printout.)
Thanks again,
The Quality Assurance and Compliance Department
