Criteria & Selection Process for Global Link Resource Specialist & Trainer

Criteria

We have the resources to train at least 20 volunteers as Global Link Resource Specialist and Trainer. The training outline for volunteers is separated into hosting, sending and volunteer tracks. Therefore in terms of selection criteria we should consider selecting volunteers who have expertise/knowledge in those 4 functions. We will divide up the available training slots as follows:

• 5 hosting

• 5 sending

• 5 volunteer development

• 5 participant support

Selection Process

Here is a bullet point outline of the selection process:

• Friday September 4, 2009 – posting of the volunteer position done in AFS volunteer newsletter, AFS Wiki and AFS USA inbox

• Friday October 2, 2009 – deadline for application submission – all applications to be emailed directly to Meryl Lewis

• Week of October 5, 2009 – IT Advisory Group reviews applicants and makes final selection of volunteers to fill this position
