AFS-USA Volunteer Position Description

Congress Bundestag Volunteer

Responsible to: CB Specialist

General Description: CB volunteers are individuals who have expressed general interest in volunteering at CB related activities. These activities could be: pre-departure or end-of-stay orientations for sending and hosted CB students, conference calls or CB Selection Committees.

Time Required:

  • depends on event
  • various activities throughout the year

Competencies Required:

  • Knowledge of the CB program
  • Flexible
  • Dependable
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Preferably CB or AFS returnee
  • Enjoy talking to students and parents
  • Ability to share their own CB experience with CB candidates and parents

Training:

  • Staff
    • CB Specialist
    • SP Admissions Advisor
    • Regional sending staff
  • Volunteer
    • Other CB volunteers
