Please be advised that the following email message has been sent to all natural parents of US participants currently abroad.
Dear Smith Family:
We are reaching out to you today in light of recent media reports speculating on radiation levels outside of Japan. As always, the safety and well-being of our participants is our top priority.
Please be advised, independent nuclear radiation experts continue to predict that wind borne radiation harmful to humans is not expected to move beyond Japan.
The USA Crisis Management team will continue to monitor the situation closely in conjunction with staff at AFS International and our AFS Partner Countries. Should you have any questions or concerns, as always, please feel free to contact your Regional Service Center at 1-800-876-2377.
