Chapter Publicity Coordinator
The Chapter Publicity Coordinator is responsible for arranging local media coverage of AFS programs, events, and participants.
Responsible to:Chapter Chair and Team Publicity Coordinator
Time required:
- 2 hours/week

Responsibilities:
- Work with appropriate chapter volunteers to provide publicity for student and/or host family recruitment efforts
- Publicize chapter events and activites through placements in local media
- Publicize Host Family Recognition Month each March
- Provide follow-up to nationally placed Public Service Announcements (PSA's)
- Publicize chapter fundraising activities
- Feature AFS volunteers during National Volunteer Recognition Week each April
- Pitch student, host family, and volunteer feature story ideas to selected media
- Work with other volunteers as appropriat to publicize community informational meetings
