Community Placed

AFS term, also known as CP. Community placed is a placement status assigned to a stu who has been claimed by an Team or by a chapter, but has not been placed yet in a Host Family. Note: CP also stands for chapter president.
If a volunteer team "community places" a student, the student is reserved for the team and can't be placed by other teams without the permission of the team that originally "community placed" the student (except late in the hosting season under specific rules). In exchange for this exclusivity, the team makes a commitment to finding a host family for that specific student.
