CAG Norms

The members of the CAG agree to adhere to the following norms in order to maximize the productivity and efficiency of the group.

Email Communications

  • Sender
Specify whether you want the respondents to “reply all” or to the sender only
Include clear deadlines for work/submissions in body of email
If no response is received by 2 days prior to deadline, verify receipt via another message
  • Recipient - Acknowledge receipt of items received for review even if you do not have any feedback

Phone Meetings

  • Attendees
Arrive on time
Ensure that you are free from distractions during the call
Give your full attention to the call - refrain from "multi-tasking" during the call
If you are unable to attend a call, reply all to the agenda email
If you miss more than two calls within the calendar year, you may be asked to reconsider your participation in the group
  • Chair ensures that the agenda is sent out by the Monday prior to the call
  • All - Provide Chair any documents or agenda items for review by seven days prior to the call
  • Staff post notes on the wiki within three business days of call

General Norms

  • Decision by consensus as to what our recommendations will be
  • Respect all opinions
  • Keep in mind how recommendations impact the larger organization
