Overview

The 'AFS Sending 101 for Volunteers' is included in the volunteer training series. These trainings are held as webinars and facilitated by AFS Sending staff. This training provides a thorough introduction for new sending volunteers, or a refresher for experienced volunteers.

The 'AFS Sending 101 for Volunteers' training will be held the third Wednesday of each month, will last 90 minutes and will cover a wide range of topics, including the basics of AFS Study Abroad programs, tips for mentoring students and talking to parents, a review of the application process and common sending activities to support students in your area. We will also cover the www.afsusa.org, the AFS Blog and Facebook, so you can direct students to these great resources.
