AFS Guides Updated

The September 09 versions of the AFS Guide for Participants and the AFS Guide for Families of AFS Participants can now be found in the Table of Orientation Publications

Text re. the following subjects was revised to be in-line with current AFS-USA standards, policies and procedures:

  • Academic Credit
  • Travel and Logistics
  • Visas
  • AFS Participant Medical Plan - no longer included in the handbook but is referenced in the Guides
  • The AFS Account
  • Online resources for outbound AFS Participants

And a new section on Laptops, Cell Phones and Personal Music Devices was created.

My special thanks go to Student Services Advisor, Julia Swanson, for taking the lead on the revision process and to Renee Cassidy and Paula McGrath for their speedy work on the Travel section in the aftermath of an extremely busy travel season!
